Stay Casa Mona is located in Punta Uva, a nature filled town on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, known for its stunning beaches and lush rainforest. Our vacation rental compound is nestled in the heart of the rainforest, yet only steps away from the beach, offering guests a unique and unforgettable experience.
HOW TO GET HERE
Getting to Stay Casa Mona is easy! If you're arriving by plane, the nearest airport is Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) in San Jose. From there, you can either rent a car and drive to Punta Uva (approx. 4-hour drive), or take a domestic flight to Limon and then a taxi to Punta Uva. If you're already in Costa Rica, you can also take a bus to Limon and then a taxi to Punta Uva.

By Car
We highly recommend renting a car to fully enjoy the beauty of the area and explore nearby attractions. There are several car rental companies at the airport and in Limon. Once you arrive in Punta Uva, follow the signs to Playa Punta Uva and you'll find us on the right-hand side of the road.

By Domestic Flight
You can catch a flight from SJO to Limon Airport, which is only a 30-minute flight, followed by a 30-minute drive to our property. We recommend booking this early on with Sansa Airlines (www.flysansa.com). Once you arrive, you'll be greeted with a warm welcome from our friendly staff.

By Bus
Taking a bus is the cheapest way to get to Punta Uva, but also the longest. From San Jose, take a bus to Limon and then transfer to another bus to Puerto Viejo. From there, take a taxi to Punta Uva. The bus ride takes around 5 hours and costs less than $10.
